    After 5 years of fighting opposition, Kent County Levy Court commissioners have unanimously approved the plan for a Wal-Mart on U.S. Route 13 in Cheswold, DE.

    Construction is scheduled to start in April, 2009 and the store is expected to open by early 2010. The approval included a 20,000 square foot strip mall to be located on the other side of the five-lane entrance/exit from the superstore.
